There is a regular bus service to the nearby cities of Carlisle and Newcastle upon Tyne. Also there is a Hadrian's Wall tour bus - the AD 122, which covers all the Hadrian's Wall stops like Vindolanda, Housesteads and Chesters. You can buy a day or week pass to see all of the close by forts and sections of Hadrian's Wall. All buses can be caught at the bus stop directly opposite the pub.
